Welcoming New Talent to the Team
As Talisen continues to grow, we’ve been fortunate to expand our team with highly skilled professionals who bring diverse expertise and fresh perspectives. Notably, we welcomed two new project managers in 2024, Costas Monogioudis and David Goldman, who have already demonstrated the ability to lead with clarity and precision on complex projects.
Our new assistant project managers, Mrudhanee Sharma and Sarah Ismail, ensure the success of Talisen’s projects by managing pre-construction activities, facilitating project kick-off meetings, and coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and field teams to deliver projects efficiently and on time. Likewise, Talisen’s new project engineers, Stefani Mostarac, Helene Holland, and Sara Galarza, add immense value to our operations, enhancing project efficiency and safety by managing bid coordination, subcontractor communications, and project documentation while supporting the team with RFIs, submittals, and schedules to ensure seamless project execution.
In addition to welcoming new team members to our project management division, Talisen was thrilled to add two new field superintendents this year: Scott Abadinsky and Frank Borges. Both professionals bring a wealth of experience and a dedication to delivering excellence on-site, ensuring our projects run smoothly and exceed client expectations.
Finally, we are proud to announce that Talisen’s Rawan El-Choum, who made the transition from Assistant Field Superintendent to Assistant Project Manager this year, has been promoted to Project Manager with a very promising future ahead of her!

CUIMC: Manhattan Basement MRI Facility Renovation
In collaboration with Jeffrey Berman Architect and AKF Group, Talisen seamlessly integrated three advanced MRI units, requiring meticulous upgrades to the facility’s infrastructure. Key enhancements included:
- Structural modifications to support the new equipment
- RF shielding for uncompromised imaging precision
- Vibration isolation to ensure accuracy and stability
- Precise climate control to maintain optimal conditions

ColumbiaDoctors: Tarrytown MRI Suite Expansion
To address the growing need for advanced diagnostic imaging, we teamed up with CUIMC, Array Architects, and Loring Consulting Engineers to transform and expand the MRI suite at the ColumbiaDoctors Tarrytown facility. This 930-square-foot renovation on the first floor seamlessly integrated a cutting-edge 1.5T MRI scanner into the existing space.
Key Upgrades:
- Dedicated cryogen vent for advanced cooling
- Chiller installation to optimize system performance
- Extended MRI slab to meet stringent Department of Health standards

ColumbiaDoctors: Tarrytown X-Ray Suite Renovation
Talisen joined forces once again with CUIMC, this time to shed new light on diagnostic imaging at ColumbiaDoctors Tarrytown with a top-to-bottom renovation of the facility’s X-ray suite. This 516-square-foot transformation on the first floor swapped outdated equipment for two cutting-edge ceiling-hung GE Discovery XR656HD X-ray units, bringing crystal-clear precision to every scan.

Weill Cornell Medicine: Ophthalmology Suite
Talisen worked alongside E4H Architecture and Vanderweil Engineers to bring Weill Cornell Medicine’s vision for a cutting-edge Brooklyn ophthalmology suite to life. This 2024 construction project was a sight for sore eyes, featuring:

- A reimagined lobby and reception area
- Sleek conference rooms and waiting spaces
- High-end finishes and custom lighting

Bridging Access to Care: 390 Berry Street
Talisen Construction delivered a groundbreaking transformation for our valued repeat client, Bridging Access to Care, in Williamsburg this year. Our team went beyond bricks and mortar to create a space that would uplift the community and empower the client’s mission of providing compassionate, trauma-informed services.
The project included:
- Five state-of-the-art exam rooms designed for privacy, comfort, and healing
- Thoughtfully crafted office spaces that balance functionality and style to foster teamwork

Pratt Institute: Window Replacement
At the start of 2024, Talisen published a NYC commercial construction forecast for the coming year. Looking back now, several of our 2024 projections materialized, including the anticipation of a surge in education construction. Talisen proudly took part in that surge when we partnered with Pratt Institute and Matiz Architecture & Design to complete a $2.6 million window replacement project at Pratt’s historic Brooklyn campus.
This transformative initiative blended architectural integrity with cutting-edge performance upgrades to modernize over 150 windows across Pratt’s campus. The new windows enhanced campus energy efficiency, soundproofing, and weatherproofing to align with Pratt’s sustainability goals and improve student and faculty comfort.
Executing the project safely and with minimal disruption was a top priority for Talisen. Our phased approach ensured smooth logistics, successfully maintaining a secure campus environment throughout construction. The finished product combined modern technology with thoughtful design to elevate Pratt Institute’s facilities and support its vibrant academic community for generations to come.

New York Institute of Technology: Jericho Residence Hall
Another milestone for Talisen in 2024 involved the completion of a modern residence hall for our valued client NYIT. Talisen joined forces with TPG Architecture and IMEG to transform an existing hotel into contemporary student housing for NYIT’s students. The project encompassed comprehensive interior renovations, such as:
- The conversion of guest rooms into student housing units
- Installation of energy-efficient systems
- Common area upgrades
- ADA and fire safety compliance assurance
- State-of-the-art amenities tailored to fulfill the needs of NYIT’s diverse student body
- New finishes throughout
