Bike to the Beach Raises Money for Autism
Over the course of the past month, we’ve been sharing how generational changes impact the way we design and build workplaces with The Tenant of the Future and When the Old Word Meets The New. There’s another really important change that’s happened in our society over the same time period, and it has to do with the way we treat people who have autism.
As a society, we’re evolving to understand that people who have autism can absolutely have happy, healthy lives. Collectively, we’re learning to recognize and meet the needs of people on the autism spectrum. This has impacted every level of our society, from the classroom to the boardroom. Researchers, educators, business owners, community groups and other organizations have each stepped up in their own way to make the world a better place for the 1 in 68 kids who has autism.
