Sal Marletta

Senior Project Manager

Sal Marletta got his start in the construction industry working for a family friend who had a small construction company after graduating high school. His job was to unload trucks, get the mechanics their materials, and sweep up at the end of the day. Little by little, he started to learn how to build and became a carpenter.

Sal obtained his bachelor’s in Accounting from Brooklyn College before opening a renovation business in Brooklyn in 2001. Ten years later, he transitioned into project management before being promoted to Senior Project Manager in 2017.

Today, Sal is a Senior Project Manager at Talisen Construction. As a Senior PM, he is accountable for a project’s success from its estimation phase to close-out, focusing on supporting and developing positive relationships between Talisen’s clients, field superintendents, assistant project managers, and subcontractors.

Thus far in his career, one of Sal’s most significant accomplishments involved spearheading the demolition of the NYC VA Hospital after Superstorm Sandy. The hospital had been completely destroyed by a surge of water from the East River, prompting Sal and his team to demolish 80,000 square feet of medical offices, labs, and examination rooms. Sal completed the job in just three weeks, ensuring the hospital’s reconstruction could begin immediately and not displace the veterans for an extended period.

In his free time, you can find Sal entertaining with family and friends and traveling with his wife and daughters.

"Talisen welcomed me into their offices like I was part of the family. They greeted me with open arms and made me feel comfortable with my new surroundings from the moment I arrived."
