Municipal Credit Union, 134-66 Springfield Boulevard, Queens
From March through July of 2012 Talisen Construction completed work on the flagship branch of Municipal Credit Union on 134-66 Springfield Boulevard in Queens. As MCU is a full service financial institution, security was a top priority in choosing construction materials.
- ArmorCore® bullet resistant fiberglass panels were used for all of the secure areas, including the safe room, the teller counter, the back of the house and around the ATMs.
- A Bandit Barrier was constructed around the teller’s counter as an extra security feature and to allow visibility for monitoring. Talisen Construction worked with TPG Architecture to design and construct the MCU flagship branch.
Previously, Talisen worked with TPG Architecture on the 280 Saint Nicholas Avenue location of this boutique banking center. A 24 hour ATM center was created with a custom folding partition, which separates this area from the customer service center. The partition was built with glass, which worked with the millwork elements at the reception desk, creating a clean, modern look and feel, allowing for visibility to the customer service area.
