Andrew DiMarco
Business Unit Director
Mr. DiMarco got his start in construction working with his father, a 50-year Local 731 Veteran who worked with many contractors across NYC. Upon graduating from Farmingdale State University with an Architectural Engineering degree, Mr. DiMarco started as a carpenter in the US Navy before continuing with his experience as a superintendent and project manager working on healthcare projects and commercial fit-outs for St. Francis Hospital, Nassau Community Medical Center, St. Barnabas Hospital, Macklowe Properties, and Federated Department Stores.
With a holistic approach and a multi-functional focus, Andrew brings contagious passion to the building process and is driven to create and grow exceptional teams as Business Unit Director at Talisen. He uses his architecture and construction management expertise to deliver a fantastic finished product that ensures every client is delighted, leading, developing, and mentoring a team of senior project managers, project managers, and assistant project managers while upholding Talisen’s mission every step of the way.
In the 30+ years Mr. DiMarco has served the industry, he has overseen billions of dollars of construction and managed hundreds of construction professionals. Some of his most significant career accomplishments include:
- Federal Express: Structural Renovation Project
- 200,000 square foot structural renovation that required a gutted infrastructure and reconstruction of an existing steel and support system. The project included renovations of the exterior facade and entranceways/ramps and the installation of new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This fast-track renovation was accomplished in 8 months, working two 12‐hour shifts.
- JPMorgan Chase & Co.
- Minor renovations and complex, large-scale projects in the North and South East. Developed Master Roll Out program with 700+ locations consisting of new construction, ADA improvements, ATM replacements, interior remodeling, and infrastructure upgrades.
- New Development in Williamsburg, Brooklyn
- New construction mix‐use retail/condo/townhouse. 475,000 sq. ft with a high water table. Heavy dewatering, shoring, underpinning, and waterproofing to build three lower levels, two 5-story towers, and lower level, ground floor retail.
In his free time, Andrew enjoys golfing and spending time with family and friends.
