Municipal Credit Union
This full rebuild of the Municipal Credit Union Flagship in Queens prioritized a premium level of security. As MCU is a full-service financial institution, Talisen Construction and TPG Architecture had many different security measures installed beyond the standard renovation that had been done.
ArmorCore® bullet-resistant fiberglass panels were installed where extreme security was required, like the safe room, teller counters, back of house, and near the ATMs. “Bandit Barriers” were also fitted around the tellers’ counter as an extra layer of security while also providing the client with better visibility for monitoring.
Previously, Talisen worked with TPG Architecture on the renovation at MCU’s Harlem location, where a 24-hour ATM center was created with a custom folding partition made out of glass.
