Silicon Valley Venture Capital’s NYC Location

Accel"When a venture capital company based out of Silicon Valley needed an impressive, high tech NYC location built fast, they turned to Talisen as one of the top construction companies in NYC. In 6 weeks, this high end fit out transformed a 3000 sq ft space into a distinctive, dynamic space – all while working in a controlled noise environment! Silicon Valley based DES Architects + Engineer’s design combining the Adotta Italia’s Metafora Partition system, open ceilings and custom finish cement floors delivered the look, while Talisen’s expertise in NYC construction management ensured top quality results on time and budget. Chalk it up to great team work.

Google Space

Google With Google’s recent $1.9 billion acquisition of the property at 111 8th Ave Manhattan NY, Google retained Taconic Management’s property team to continue managing one of NYC’s largest properties at 2.9M sq ft. Taconic, acting as Construction Manager, hired Talisen Construction Corp as General Contractor in constructing two of Google’s NYC corporate office fit-outs. Talisen coordinated all trades and successfully fast tracked two eight-week scheduled build-outs. This allowed Google to quickly move over 100 employees into new work areas on schedule.

CBI-Connect at 111 Eighth Ave

CBI ConnectThis incredible building, which stands as the old NYC Port Authority, attracts many large high-tech companies due to its 200,000 sq ft space per floor, its proximity to Wall Street and advanced fiber optic connectivity. This address now serves as the main data center and corporate office for CBI-Connect, a fast growing IT services company.

The project, which was directly managed by CBI’s principal, Craig Bueker, resulted in a successful partnership between owner and contractor to meet CBI’s high-quality build-out specifications and needs. By Mr. Bueker acting as CM and Talisen as GC and consultant, we were able to work together closely to phase the project effectively and efficiently in a way that allowed employees to continue to work in their normal routine.

Talisen provided insight, advice and coaching so CBI could anticipate construction issues, keeping costs low, cutting down construction time and minimizing employee disruption to maintain a healthy, productive professional environment throughout the construction process.

We now look forward to moving forward with CBI’s next phase of expansion and continuing to strengthen our synergistic relationship for another successful construction project.

Mercy College Café

mercy cafeTalisen successfully completed a gut renovation of Mercy College’s cafeteria facility in a very aggressive four-week critical path schedule. With strong management coordination and Talisen’s dedicated resourced pool of subcontractors, the project was completed in time for the first day of classes. The project team, consisting of McClave Engineering, Lessing’s Inc. and a strong Mercy facilities department lead by Elaine Treffiletti, Daryl Brooke Kraus and Craig Soss, were all an intricate part of the project and its success.

Interactive Data Corporation at 100 Church St.

Located near Ground Zero, SL Green’s newly acquired building is being prepared to undergo an extensive multi-phase renovation upgrade. Talisen helped to kickoff some of the work with a renovation of the four 11th floor base-building restrooms. IDC, in collaboration with SL Green, worked together with MJS Design Associates to design and develop a new, more functional and updated tenant facility while contracting Talisen Construction as the CM to manage and complete construction of the project.
